Abstract

Oncology patient treatments are now oriented towards precision medicine. A patient with a cancer diagnosis may receive a personalized regimen based on the molecular composition of their tumor. The reason for this lies in the dissimilarity among individual tumors, implying that the most efficacious treatment must also be personalized. New and improved models, such as machine learning, must be used for the accurate determination of a treatment with little outcome variation or toxicity.
