Bug localization refers to the task of automatically processing bug reports to locate source code files that are responsible for the bugs. The effectiveness of bug tracking systems is contingent on well-defined metrics that enable teams to gauge the quality of their software and streamline development processes. This review article delves into the latest advancements in bug and issue tracking metrics, examining their significance, evolution, and practical implications. CMMI is a process-oriented model  that  aims  to  improve  the  maturity  of  an  organization's software development processes.
